I rarely recommend building the entire room at once. A phased approach lets clients validate what they use most before expanding. A typical roadmap starts with an MVP — one sauna and proper electrical infrastructure sized for future expansion — followed by a cold plunge and red light zone in phase two, and PEMF or hyperbaric additions once the core routine is established. Building electrical, plumbing, and structural capacity for the full vision from day one, even if you install technology gradually, saves significant cost versus retrofitting later.
Plan Your Phased BuildNot every general contractor has experience with wellness spaces. I recommend working with a team that understands sauna ventilation, wet-room drainage, and low-voltage smart home wiring together — not as three separate subcontractors working in isolation.
